A Birthday on a Private Boat on the Ganga
A birthday on a boat is nothing like a dinner or a party hall. You are on the Ganga with the ghats drifting past, the light changing on the water and only your own group on board. Cut the cake on the river, take the photographs, and if you go in the evening, watch the Ganga Aarti from the water.
We use the private motor boat for birthdays. It carries up to ten people for about two hours. Choose a sunrise ride for a calm, quiet morning, or an evening ride timed for the Ganga Aarti. Tell us the date, the age and who is coming, and we plan the boat and the timing with you.
Balloons, a banner, a cake, music and a photographer can be arranged on request, and their cost is shared on WhatsApp, apart from the boat fare. For a bigger party of 20 to 50, choose a Bajra boat. For a larger group, ask about a cruise. See also our other events on a boat.

Your own boat
Only your group is on board, so the party goes at your pace and nobody else is there.

Birthday Boat Fare
The fare is for the whole boat, not per person, and covers about two hours for up to ten people. Decoration, cake, music and a photographer are arranged on request and quoted separately on WhatsApp. We confirm the final amount before you book.

Six things to decide, and we help with each.
Pick sunrise or evening
Sunrise is calm, quiet and good for photographs. The evening is livelier and is timed for the Ganga Aarti.
Count your guests
The private motor boat takes up to ten. For 20 to 50, choose a Bajra boat. Include the children and the older family members.
Choose the decoration
Tell us the theme: balloons, flowers, a banner or an age board. We tell you what can be arranged and what it costs.
Sort the cake
Bring your own or ask us to arrange one. Keep it boxed until the boat is on the water.
Plan the music
A small speaker works well. Please keep the volume low near the ghats, where many people are at prayer.
Plan the photographs
Ask for a photographer, or nominate a friend. The softest light is the first hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset.
